It's September 1st. In the next two weeks, Nintendo fanboys like myself are going to be atwitter in anticipation for the next big Nintendo Wii announcement...I honestly didn't think the LGC or PAX would be the place where Nintendo spills the beans, and turns out my initial instincts would have been correct.

Not news, just some speculation, and good old fashoined fun. We all know the Wii will come equipped with a feature currently known as the Virtual Console. Through the Wii's built-in Wifi, the Virtual Console will be able to, using your broadband connection, download secure roms of classic NES, Sega Genesis, TurboGraphx-16, Super NES, and Nintendo64 games for play on the Wii system.

I’m visiting my usual slug of sites today, lots of videos showing footage of the next-gen systems in action.

Or so it might seem. I’m looking at the videos for some of the newer PS3 titles, and trying to remain objective. If you know me (and why wouldn’t you otherwise you wouldn’t be here), you’d know I’m a Nintendo fanboy through-and-through. For me, being unbiased and judgemental is an excercise when it comes to these things, but it's far from impossible.

I clicked through most of these gems, finding they’re all pretty much alike in one way or another.
