insomnimania is a website mostly centered around the Gallery in which I invite you to to use to host pictures. We also have a forum, and it's open to everyone.

 It's September 1st. In the next two weeks, Nintendo fanboys like myself are going to be atwitter in anticipation for the next big Nintendo Wii announcement...I honestly didn't think the LGC or PAX would be the place where Nintendo spills the beans, and turns out my initial instincts would have been correct.

Not news, just some speculation, and good old fashoined fun. We all know the Wii will come equipped with a feature currently known as the Virtual Console. Through the Wii's built-in Wifi, the Virtual Console will be able to, using your broadband connection, download secure roms of classic NES, Sega Genesis, TurboGraphx-16, Super NES, and Nintendo64 games for play on the Wii system.

I’m visiting my usual slug of sites today, lots of videos showing footage of the next-gen systems in action.
Or so it might seem. I’m looking at the videos for some of the newer PS3 titles,
and trying to remain objective. If you know me (and why wouldn’t you
otherwise you wouldn’t be here), you’d know I’m a Nintendo fanboy
through-and-through. For me, being unbiased and judgemental is an
excercise when it comes to these things, but it's far from impossible.
I clicked through most of these gems, finding they’re all pretty
much alike in one way or another.

Changing up a bit, I've gone crawling back to my old webhost 'cause I can't stand the muddy slowness of the new host.
Sorry, guys I really wanted to like you, but when you tout yourselves as a GALLERY AFFILIATE, and then your systems aren't even properly configured for it, well...
You fail.
Anyways, don't get too used to the old PHP Nuke site, I really like Wordpress, and will be moving in that direction.

Okay, kids, I've gotten myself into another one of those pyramid sites that promise you free stuff if you sign up for things. I'm working on earning enough points to get a Mac Mini.

I think it's lookin' pretty nice, but hey, I like my work.
At this point, I'm going to start actively inviting people to come take a look at Insomnimania. While in no way is it (in my mind) complete, the core functions are now working properly, and most of the bugs are worked out.
Core functions thus far:
* Gallery. Since this is the core of the site, it's important that this works well.
* Users. Should be working, if not let me know. So far, I've not had (anymore) issues.
* Stories on page 1. I just wanted something to effectively throw up random thoughts, without the use of Live Journal, Blogger, or MySpace.
* Forums. I can't really gauge how much these will be used, but as time goes on, they'll morph.
Future addons that you can expect to see:
* User photo albums. STOP USING FLICKR, SNAPCLUB, PHOTOBUCKET AND/OR SNAPFISH! insomnimania.org will provide free photohosting on an invite-only basis.
* My "blog" which really is, just a "web log", or rather, just a page of links that I find interesting that day. It's still available here, but eventually, I want to integrate it.
* Java chat. Does anyone care about this? COMMENTS!

Today, I decided to take a look see at the referer's log to
insomnimania, and boy did it blow my mind. HELLO FARK USERS,
HELLO GEEKISSUES.ORG PATRONS, FUCK OFF SLASHDOTTERS...
anyways, while I was doing that, I noticed someone built up a wiki for Grrl Revolution,
the pathetic little fanimutation that I did years back. I
couldn't just leave well enough alone, so I made a few
modifications.

So far, so good, I'm liking the redesign. It wouldn't be possible without the aKid theme from disipal.
Next step, I want to get the darned boards working. If anyone has
any idea why they don't work (something about session IDs), please
comment and let me know. I'm no expert at nukephp by any means.

Looks good in Firefox, looks like ASS in IE. Since I'm guessing
most people use IE and not Firefox, I'll work on making it CONSISTENT
betwixt the two.
Yeah, I can see people are using the site right now, it sure must be fun to watch the colors and themes change randomly!
